I have a wide foot and wear Brooks too. I was in the Dyad but I found it too squishy with not enough arch support. I just got the Ghost 6 (on clearance!) and love them. I kinda want to try to find another pair just to have them on hand. Of course now that I'm sidelined from running with stress reactions in both legs, those shoes will last longer. LOL

That's great! I'm totally loyal to Brooks, and I've heard that they're definitely better for those of us with slightly larger feet, LOL.

I've actually changed my brand/ model of sneakers each time I've gone to get a new pair! Unfortunately when I went to get the updated model of what I am currently running in I discovered I really don't like it so I'll probably switch again! I also run in 2 different brand/ models during each round of marathon training and alternate between the two (usually the lighter pair for short runs and the more cushioned pair for longer runs...) - that seems to work well for me and gives me sneakers a break by being rotated!

I actually really love your shoes! I too feel the pain of having a larger foot! I'm a size 9.5/10 which means for running and CrossFit I need an 10.5/11 ( I really should get remeasured) and for some reasons companies don't think that women have feet that size! Sorry, my rant is over! Woohoo for awesome training runs! :)

I am exactly like you, I will NOT ever switch running shoes! Unless Asics gets stupid and changes up the structure of the shoe that I wear. Then I will switch and be super mad about it lol!

I am super jealous of y'all's weather!! Fall is getting so close, but you'd never know it with Houston's weather lol!

Great job this week in your training!

I actually just switched my running brand shoes from Nike to Adidas. So far, I'm liking them, but I felt kind of guilty since I've been a Nike fan for so many years.

I've been running in my sneakers since before the Princess Half as well and started to get some pains, so I just started breaking in a new pair this week too and I had the same thought that these will probably be the shoes I'm running NYC in haha. I can't decide if I am going to take the new sneakers to Disneyland next weekend for Dumbo, I think I might bring both pairs just in case its too soon. I feel your pain with the big feet thing. I wear a size 12 in women's or a 10.5 in men's. I can usually find my size online if I want a pretty color, but the struggle is real.

Yep -- I can only wear men's shoes. I've tried on women's wide sneakers, and some brands/models fit, but when I tried running in them it just was NOT pleasant. I wear a size 9 in a men's sneaker (told ya I had BIG feet, haha), and a 10 in a women's, and I think as a general rule of thumb men's shoes are 1-2 sizes off what you'd wear in a women's pair.
