Hi Jen,

Thanks so much for reading! I could write a book about my experiences on the weight-loss escalator -- believe me. It's hard to accept your physical appearance, especially when your body is constantly changing. I think that's why it has taken me this long (I began my weight loss journey back in 2007) to really start accepting the new me.

It takes time, patience, and, of course, a ton of hard work, but you can do it this time! Make your weight loss about more than what you see on the scale -- you're so much
more than a number. I wish somebody would have told me that, just once!

Thanks again for reading, and please do keep me posted on how you're doing! I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to follow my blog updates on Twitter (twitter.com/jenniferlnelson) or Facebook (facebook.com/jenniferlnelson.writer).

Best of luck to you!

Jen

Congratulations! I'm just starting, once again, on the path of trying to make my body more acceptable to me. I've done the weight-loss escalator--lose a few pounds here, gain more back there, wander around lost in the woods for a while. Seeing people who have succeeded is a major motivator. I think I need to work on exactly what you've mentioned here, learning to accept my body for the things it can and can't do!
