Hi Sheila,

That is AWESOME -- congrats on your Princess training, and taking on your first half! This is TOO exciting. :-D

Haha, that is SO true. Today I went out for a measly 4 miles, and it was pretty much pure agony. I struggled through every mile. It's crazy! And how awesome would it be if we could wear our running duds all the time? Honestly, even though they're all tight and spandex-y...I really do feel the most confident when I'm decked out in my neon running gear. :-D

Good luck next week! We CAN do this! I can't wait.

Loved the post! Your comments are so accurate.

My running journey started this past May 2012 and the Disney Princess will be my first half as well! Your 12-mile time is awesome!!

Had to laugh about point #9, bad runs happen. My daughter just asked me if running 3 miles was easy now. (I had just finished my own 12-mile long run.) And I was thinking absolutely not. After 9 months of solid running, I wish I could say, "Yes, 3 miles is nothing" but the truth is as you said, sometimes runs are easy and sometimes they're not. Also, loved #8. I know my friends and relatives are like sheesh, why doesn't she get dressed? Lol. I love my running clothes!! I'd wear them every day if I could.

Good luck to you in the race!

Thank you so much for your kind words, and for checking out my blog! Gotta love those DIS Boards. :-D

That's awesome -- good luck next week! We can do this! I'm not even remotely concerned about my time...I definitely won't be running any 9-minute miles when I'm stopping for photo ops every couple of minutes, haha. It doesn't matter how long it takes, just as long as we cross that finish line! :-)

Wow! I love your blog. It caught my eye on your tag line on the DIS boards and I clicked on it. I am so impressed by your time! I can only dream of 9 minute miles! (Maybe some day.) Good for you! You are going to kill the Princess Marathon next Sunday. You should be really proud of yourself. I'll be running too -- just not as fast as you.

Thank you so much! Ugh, I hear you -- that storm was NOT fun! And good for you for getting in a run anyway -- snowshoe running sounds awesome (and hard)!

You are so right -- running has transformed me in ways I never thought possible, and I am SO excited and anxious to take on this race! :)

So proud of you!!!! Believe me, I was Nemo'd and I couldn't get my long run in. 33 inches and unplowed roads will do that to you. :-( I did manage to swing 5 miles yesterday and 4 snowshoe running (AWESOME!) so I'm trying not to be too hard on myself. I loved what you've learned- especially all that you've learned about yourself. Running is transformative. Really. You're ready!!! :-)
